Allergy is a disorder of the immune system. Allergic reactions occur due to environmental substances known as allergens. It is characterized by excessive activation of white blood cells called mast cells and basophils by IgE, resulting in an inflammatory response. In some people, severe allergies to environmental or dietary allergens may result in life-threatening anaphylactic reactions and potentially death.

Detection of Allergen/ Allergy State

Conventional Laboratory Tests available for assessment of Allergic state are Absolute Eosinophil Counts & IgE estimation. Skin Test is also performed to detect specific Allergen. However skin test is at times painful and non specific.

Allergen Specific IgE Panel
